Exclusive Wedding Hire in Perthshire
Weddings at Megginch Castle are made to be memorable, which is why we provide the following for all weddings hosted at the castle.
- Venue hire from Friday to Sunday - or one day either side of your wedding. But we are pretty flexible…
- The ballroom can sit about 110 for the wedding breakfast. The conservatory can hold about the same for the ceremony. Including those coming later we can host a total of about 150 guests. The little chapel out in the woods can host up to 50.
- Our wedding coordinator, Jan, who will be your wedding coordinator for the wedding itself and help you with suppliers in the lead up to the big day. She can also carry out any MC duties that are required. Jan and her team will also be able to rearrange any furniture that you want during the day and attend to any necessary car parking duties. We have plentiful parking on both our normal car park lawn and in wetter conditions on our hard standing car park.
- Tables - we have both round or rectangular - table format up to you
- Beautiful Chiavari Chairs - to make your day extra special
- Benches and outside chairs for ceremonies outside - again it’s all up to you
- PA system for speeches and outdoor ceremonies - Bluetooth + battery backup
- Modern programmable LED lighting in the ballroom and traditional Antler chandeliers. Change the mood as you want as the day progresses
- Background music piped through our luxury lavatories - just share with us your playlist!
- The castle’s ceremonial sword for cutting your cake
- A fully fitted bar, staffed by the caterer of your choice with drinks of your choice
- A stage for your band / DJ with its own entrance - no need to disturb your guests
- All heating and lighting (at night the castle, trees and courtyard are all lit up..)
- A commercial kitchen immediately next to the ballroom designed by one of our caterers. This is connected up to the bar for more efficient staff access.
- Fire pit and benches overlooking the front garden and castle… for those needing a break from all the dancing..
- All cleaning before and after your wonderful weekend.
- Staying in our luxury wedding apartment the night before the wedding and on the night of the wedding itself. This has been completed to a high standard and includes a bedroom with a luxury four poster bed, ensuite bathroom with separate shower, bath and underfloor heating. A living room / kitchen area with fully fitted kitchen and new luxury sofa-bed. All just above the venue - what could be more convenient? And the perfect location to get ready on the morning of your wedding.
- Benches and outside chairs for ceremonies outside - again it's all up to you.
- PA system for speeches and outdoor ceremonies - Bluetooth + battery backup.
- Access to other parts of the castle for your indoor photographs - for example the Robert Adam designed drawing room or the ancient armoury and staircase.
- We should also be able to provide 2 further double rooms for parents / other members of the bridal party with a shared bathroom between them (by separate agreement)
Exclusive Wedding Hire in Perthshire
Hire fees include VAT and range from £5,950 to £6,750 depending on which day of the week / time of the year.
Finally, unlike most venues just a 20% deposit will secure your booking with nothing else to pay until one month before your wedding.
